Quijos River is a solid class IV river located in the area of El Chaco in the eastern Andes slopes born from the Antisana glacier volcano. Because of the amazing scenery and challenging rapids it is a world class river. The World Rafting Championships in 2005 were held in this river. The Quijos season is from October to March. During these months, the river level is perfect to hit huge waves and rapids like “El Toro”, one of the most challenging in the Quijos.
