This 9 day climbing tour combines our two highest and most impressive peaks, Mt. Cotopaxi (5897 m) and Mt. Chimborazo (6310 m), with an acclimatization tour, which includes Rucu Pichincha (4698 m), Pasachoa (4200 m) and Iliniza Norte (5116 m). During the excursion we spend a free day in Baños. There you have the possibility to relax in the famous hot springs, do some biking or horseback riding or to visit one of the plenty waterfalls of the surroundings. All in all you pass one week of adventure in the highlands that you surely won't forget.

The 2-day tour to the Cotopaxi volcano and the Quilotoa lagoon takes you to two of the highlights in the Ecuadorian Andes - spend an amazing time packed with great activities surrounded by nature and beautiful landscapes :-)

• hiking to the Cotopaxi refuge at 4800 m and depending on the weather conditions up to the glacier at 5000 m
• downhill biking to the Limpiopungo lagoon
• visit of an indigenous market in Saquisilí (Thursdays) or Pujilí (Sundays) and of a local family house
• hike down do the shores of the Quilotoa lagoon

The ascent departs from the “Jose Rivas” refuge at 4,800m and climbs through a mixture of volcanic, snow and glacier to the summit (5,897 mosl). The climb is not classified as technically demanding, but a specialized climbing guide is needed. No previous experience is necessary, but acclimatization and a very good physical condition is a must.
