General

For the majority of our trips, the minimum age is 12. An adult must accompany all children under the age of 18. Our Overland Adventures have a minimum age of 18. Younger children can join us on our Family trips in Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands, but check each trip for its minimum age. Most of our trips don’t have a maximum age limit, but a Self-Assessment Form is required for all passengers 70 years and over.

Galapagos for Families with children.

Galapagos Cruises: Usually, cruises allowed children from 6 years old. If you want to go, you should choose a Cruise with additional safety, with no balconies on the rooms. It is not very recommendable as the tour is very active with early wake-ups, lots of walking and swimming.
The Island Hopping Tour: Is an excellent option for families with children to go to Galapagos. In these tours, you stay in hotels with pools suitable for kids and comfortable properties on the land. Staying in the islands and sharing with the islanders is a great experience also in these tours you can do a lot of snorkeling and tours that kids can do with beautiful places to visit and close nature encounters.

On most of our trips you’ll be part of an intimate group of 12-16 people, though our group sizes are on average 10 people. Our Overland trips are in purpose-built vehicles that can carry up to 24 travellers. Group sizes are displayed on each trip’s overview page on our website.

No special skills are required for most adventures, just a sense of adventure and a curiosity about the world. Even on our camping adventures, no previous experience is needed; our trips adapt to your interests, from first-time campers to experienced adventurers.

Our trips can adapt to families with kids from 5 years old to older people up to 80 years old depending on your preferences.
