6-Day Galápagos Essence: Isabela & Santa Cruz

Day 1: Arrival in Baltra – Santa Cruz Highlands & Charles Darwin Research Station

Arrive at Baltra Airport (GPS), where your guide will meet you.
Transfer to Santa Cruz Island with a stop in the Highlands, where you’ll see giant tortoises in the wild and explore a lava tunnel.
Check-in at your hotel in Puerto Ayora.
Afternoon visit to the Charles Darwin Research Station, home to conservation efforts and iconic Galapagos tortoises.
Evening at leisure – explore the port town and enjoy dinner at one of the many local restaurants.

Day 2: Isabela Island – Tintoreras Kayak & Snorkel Tour

Early morning speedboat transfer to Isabela Island (departure at 6:00 AM, arrival around 9:00 AM).
Check-in at your hotel in Puerto Villamil.
Tintoreras Kayak & Snorkel Tour:
- Paddle through Tintoreras lava formations, spotting Galapagos penguins, marine iguanas, and sea lions.
- Walk across the lava platforms to observe sharks, sea turtles, and swimming marine iguanas.
- Snorkeling experience to explore the rich marine life.
Return to the hotel & enjoy lunch.

Day 3: Los Tuneles Snorkeling & Puerto Villamil Exploration

Morning: Los Tuneles Cabo Rosa Tour (7:30 AM departure):
- Snorkel through underwater lava tunnels, home to white-tipped reef sharks, sea turtles, and a colony of Galapagos penguins.
- Encounter diverse marine species in one of the best snorkeling spots in the Galapagos.
Afternoon: Puerto Villamil Sightseeing
- Visit Flamingo Lagoon, a beautiful site where you can observe Galapagos flamingos.
- Stop at the Giant Tortoise Breeding Center, where conservation efforts help protect these iconic creatures.

Day 4: Sierra Negra Volcano Hike & Return to Santa Cruz

Morning: Sierra Negra Volcano Tour (7:15 AM departure):
- Hike to the second-largest volcanic crater in the world, with breathtaking panoramic views.
- Discover the most active volcanic zone in the Galapagos (last eruption: July 2018).
Afternoon: Boat Transfer to Santa Cruz (departs at 2:30 PM).
Check-in at your hotel in Puerto Ayora.

Day 5: Puerto Ayora – Las Grietas & Tortuga Bay

Morning: Puerto Ayora Bay Exploration
- Snorkel at Las Grietas, a crystal-clear water channel surrounded by volcanic cliffs.
- Visit Laguna de las Ninfas, a serene mangrove ecosystem.
Afternoon: Tortuga Bay Beach
- Relax on one of the most beautiful beaches in the Galapagos.
- Enjoy sunbathing, swimming, or spotting marine iguanas and pelicans.

Day 6: Departure – Flight Back to Mainland

Morning transfer to Baltra Airport for your return flight to mainland Ecuador.

Photocopies of all documentation/tickets/passport
Ziploc bags or dry bags to keep what you need dry (books, maps, documents, film)
Pack towel (fast-drying, ultra-lite)
Toiletries** including strong sunscreen (high SPF, waterproof), biodegradable soap, shampoo, and toothpaste.

A full prescription of a doctor-prescribed antibiotic or any other medication you are currently taking.
