Fly from Quito or Guayaquil to San Cristóbal Airport (SCY). After arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy a relaxed introduction to the islands.
In the afternoon, explore Puerto Baquerizo Moreno at your own pace. Walk along the waterfront, observe the sea lions, visit the Interpretation Center, or continue to Playa Mann for your first Galápagos sunset.
San Cristóbal Highlands: El Junco, Galapaguera & Puerto Chino
After breakfast, explore the diverse landscapes of the San Cristóbal Highlands with a local naturalist guide.
Visit El Junco Lagoon, the only permanent freshwater lake in Galápagos, followed by the Galapaguera de Cerro Colorado, where giant tortoises are protected and raised as part of the island’s conservation program.
Continue to Puerto Chino, a secluded beach surrounded by volcanic scenery and native vegetation, before returning to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno.
Kicker Rock Snorkeling Adventure
Join a shared navigable excursion to Kicker Rock, one of the most iconic geological formations in Galápagos.
Snorkel between its dramatic volcanic walls in waters frequented by sea turtles, rays, reef sharks, tropical fish and, on occasion, hammerhead sharks. Wildlife encounters vary naturally and cannot be guaranteed.
Return to San Cristóbal in the afternoon.
San Cristóbal to Santa Cruz
Transfer to the pier early in the morning for the 7:00 AM speedboat to Santa Cruz. The crossing generally takes approximately two to two and a half hours.
After arriving in Puerto Ayora, check into your hotel and explore independently. Depending on your pace and interests, you may visit the Charles Darwin Research Station, walk around Laguna de las Ninfas, or continue to Tortuga Bay.
Spend the evening discovering Puerto Ayora’s waterfront and local restaurants.
Las Grietas & Transfer to Isabela
Begin the morning with a water taxi across Academy Bay, followed by a short walk through the Punta Estrada area to Las Grietas, a striking volcanic crevice filled with clear water.
Entrance is organized with a local guide and the corresponding visitor fee is paid locally.
Return to Puerto Ayora and prepare for the afternoon speedboat to Isabela. Check in at the pier approximately one hour before the scheduled 3:00 PM departure.
After arriving in Puerto Villamil, pay the applicable local entrance and port fees, transfer to your hotel, and enjoy a relaxed evening by the beach.
Depart in the morning for a guided hike to Sierra Negra, one of the most impressive active volcanic landscapes in Galápagos.
Walk along the edge of its immense caldera and discover the island’s volcanic formations, endemic vegetation and changing highland scenery. The standard excursion covers approximately 16 kilometers and normally returns to Puerto Villamil in the early afternoon.
Later, you may independently visit the Giant Tortoise Breeding Center and the nearby wetlands and flamingo lagoons.
Travel by boat along Isabela’s southern coast to Los Túneles at Cabo Rosa, where ancient lava flows created a network of natural arches, tunnels and sheltered pools.
Explore the volcanic formations and snorkel in areas frequented by sea turtles, rays, whitetip reef sharks, seahorses, colorful fish and occasionally Galápagos penguins. Wildlife sightings vary according to natural conditions.
Return to Puerto Villamil and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.
Free Morning & Transfer to Santa Cruz
Enjoy a final independent morning on Isabela. Relax on the beach, explore the wetlands by bicycle, or follow the coastal route toward the Wall of Tears.
A short Tintoreras excursion may also be possible depending on availability and the confirmed ferry schedule.
In the afternoon, take the speedboat back to Santa Cruz. Check in at the pier approximately one hour before the scheduled 3:00 PM departure. Upon arrival in Puerto Ayora, transfer to your hotel.
Santa Cruz Highlands & Flight to Mainland
After breakfast, begin your transfer across Santa Cruz toward Baltra Airport (GPS).
If your flight schedule allows, stop in the Highlands to observe giant tortoises in their natural environment and walk through a volcanic lava tunnel. If the flight departs earlier, you will transfer directly to the airport.
Continue across the Itabaca Channel to Baltra Airport for your return flight to Quito or Guayaquil.
